Motorcycle Challenge
In 2011 several members of the Lloyds Register LR250 team participated in a Motorcycle Challenge which involved a ride of 7000Km from Durban to Chita village and back to raise vital funds for the construction.
The poster to raise funds is shown below as well as a report of when the motorcyclists visited Chita Village.
Below you will find a report of when the motorcyclists visited Chita Village. This was prepared as a “Project of the Week” report for the LR250 teams.
It contains a description of the start of building “the team set to work in assisting the villagers digging the
foundations. Hand tools only and 1m deep round a 33 x 10m perimeter. Building
work is now underway and on schedule for completion by the end of the year.”
