Chita Primary School Growth
School
The original Primary school has been so successful that there is a need to provide further accommodation so an extension next to the existing school is being planned.
- The nearest alternate school is over 5Km away
- Original building was designed for 100 children.
- In October 2012 when it started taking pupils there were 174
- At the Official opening in 2014 there were 273 pupils with 8 teachers
- 3 existing classrooms have to be used in “shifts”
- They have been supplemented by temporary classrooms made of “mud bricks” built by the tribal communities as a “stop gap” until additional proper classrooms can be built.
- in November 2022 the number on roll was 460
